Why This Trade Would Benefit The Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic have been a postseason team in each of the last two years. They came into this season with some hopes and got off to a decent start. That has not continued recently. The Magic have completely fallen behind and are 14th in the Eastern Conference. Now, it could be time to sell if you are the front office.

We have seen both Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier featured in many NBA trade rumors. They have been the biggest pieces that the Magic have but Nikola Vucevic could be the surprise move. He is their best player and would land the biggest return.

Markelle Fultz suffered a torn ACL and this hindered his progress. Orlando has not been a championship contender despite being in the postseason and this is why they could head in a different direction. Ayton would be an immediate replacement for Vucevic and get them younger in the frontcourt.

This deal would land the Magic some proven faces and draft capital. This is what the team needs moving forward if they want to turn things around and continue the rebuild.
