Why This Trade Would Benefit The Detroit Pistons
At this point, the Detroit Pistons need to just sell at the NBA trade deadline and hope to be a bit more competitive moving forward. We saw some aggressiveness in the offseason but it has not paid off to this point. This could lead to some changes and Jerami Grant is a player with great value to this point.
Jerami Grant signed a three-year deal in the offseason. This is going to be a long process for the Pistons and it is hard to imagine that Grant is involved. Detroit was hoping to develop Killian Hayes a bit this season but he suffered an injury that paused that process.
At this point, the Pistons should worry about adding draft capital. This is definitely something they could get from Grant. His individual success has not translated into victories and this is why he could be used as a trade piece.

Detroit has a solid head coach in Dwane Casey but now needs to players on the floor. This is a chance to gain some assets for a player with tremendous value.
