Why This Trade Would Benefit The Memphis Grizzlies
The Grizzlies have been featured in NBA trade rumors that would send Jonas Valanciunas away at the NBA trade deadline. This is a move that would keep Valanciunas in town and give Memphis another star as they attempt to take the next step. That is the direction the franchise should be looking rather than selling this year.
When the Grizzlies landed the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, it was clear that they got their franchise player for the future. Morant first onto the scene is a rookie and had the Grizzlies near the postseason rather quickly.
Dillon Brooks is another player that has shown he is going to be good for a long time. Jerami Grant would bring a dynamic needed in Memphis. He is an elite defender and can score from all three levels on the floor. A duo of Ja Morant and Jerami Grant would certainly fit well.

This is a chance for Memphis to become relevant once again in the Western Conference. They have been down for a while but feel like they could be back soon with Morant. If they put the right players around him, to rebuild could be completed quickly.
