Why This Trade Would Benefit The Golden State Warriors
Jerami Grant is having the best statistical season of his career by far. He was put on notice a bit during the postseason last year with the Denver Nuggets. This got him paid in free agency and he is showing what he can do as the focal point of a team’s offense.
Grant’s skill set would fit in well with what the Warriors like to do. He can step out and shoot a three but also defend well and run in transition. The Warriors are a win-now team, even with Thompson on the sideline. Grant would be a nice bridge until he was able to return next season.
Right now, Grant is under contract and would benefit the Warriors right away. This is a move that could bring them back to the top of the conference very soon.

Steph Curry has been facing double. and even triple teams, at times and is still dominating. It would be nice for Golden State if they had another threat for defenses to worry about. Grant is that threat and could open things up well for the Warriors.
