Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons are expected to rebuild throughout the remainder of this season and into next season, but they could speed up that rebuilding process by landing a top draft pick in this year’s NBA Draft, and some good talent to the roster.
Adding Myles Turner, who leads the NBA in blocks per game, would give the Detroit Pistons an enforcer on the defensive side of the ball who also has good offensive play making abilities. Turner, 24, would be a great cornerstone piece to rebuild the franchise around.
The Pistons love what they have in Killian Hayes at the point guard position, which was a huge reason why they decided to trade away Derrick Rose this season and building a core of Myles Turner, Killian Hayes, and Josh Jackson could be an infliction of youth for the Detroit Pistons.

If the Pistons make this trade, they could be back in the playoffs as soon as next season. It will depend on how the 2021 NBA Draft pans out for them in terms of lottery order and making the actual right choice.
