Richaun Holmes – Sacramento Kings
Now in his second season with the Sacramento Kings, Richaun Holmes is putting together yet another solid season in Sacramento, making him a prime frontcourt target for many teams around the league.
Richaun Holmes is in the final year of his contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year, which is why he should be a top of the target list for the Lakers ahead of the trade deadline.
This season, Richaun Holmes is averaging 13.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and is shooting 65.7% from the floor. Not only has he emerged as a versatile, athletic center, but he is more than capable of being one of the better shot-blockers in the league, which is why he would fit right in with the Lakers.
Seeing as they are the top defensive team in the league, Holmes could thrive as a shot-blocker and rebounder next to Anthony Davis in the Lakers’ frontcourt and in Davis’ absence, he could be a terrific two-way player for them.

The only difficult part about trading for Richaun Holmes is that the Sacramento Kings are likely not willing to deal him. Sacramento will likely look to sign Holmes to a long-term deal this offseason and since they can offer him more money than any other team, the 27-year old center will probably want to remain loyal to the Kings.
Nonetheless, the Lakers should still try and see if there is any way to add Richaun Holmes to their roster ahead of the NBA trade deadline because he is the high-impact big man they need in their rotation to repeat as champions.
