Why This Trade Would Benefit The Denver Nuggets
The Western Conference is extremely difficult and the Nuggets need to keep pace with the top teams. This year, that is looking like the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers.
After a taste of success last season, the Nuggets could be in the market to buy at the NBA trade deadline and add some more big-name players. What was thought of as potentially being a breakout season for Michael Porter Jr. has been stifled by COVID protocols. Without that type of impact, Denver could use a boost.
Buddy Hield’s ability from three-point range would be the selling point for the Nuggets. They already have strong shooters on the team but could land a true marksman. He’s displayed a greater commitment to contribute defensively and would bring another shot creation threat.

Both Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic would benefit from having another shooting threat on the perimeter because they would open the floor offensively. They are both strong passers and could feed Buddy Hield on the perimeter when he finds the open spot on the floor.
The Nuggets are a team that has plenty of assets they would be able to send Sacramento. These assets would not have to be too much so it fits into what the team is looking to do.
