The OKC Thunder are not really anywhere close to being in playoff contention this season as they are in the midst of a full team rebuild. The Pistons are in the same boat as they have already dealt away Derrick Rose and will be dealing away Blake Griffin soon. Could these two teams benefit from a deal at the NBA trade deadline?
The Pistons could wind up making even more moves as they’re expected to be one of the NBA’s biggest sellers at the NBA trade deadline and one of the guys they could trade away could be Josh Jackson.
Josh Jackson, 24, is a 6-foot-8 wing who was a number No. 4 overall pick back in 2017 by the Phoenix Suns. His tenure with the Suns ended after just two seasons but he appears to be finding a stride with the Pistons.

Making a move for Josh Jackson is a bit of a gamble, but the OKC Thunder could be willing to take that bet. They have a strong team culture that Jackson could thrive in and he projects as being a cohesive fit in the defensive identity that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luguentz Dort help to establish.
Neither of these teams really have anything to lose in a potential deal, so let’s take a look at what it could take to get a deal done.
