New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Kelly Oubre Jr., Kevon Looney, 2021 1st Round Pick (via MIN)

Lonzo Ball and JJ Redick would be instant improvement for the Golden State Warriors on the perimeter. They have been inconsistent because of the strange way their lineup is constructed and doesn’t fit the typical style of play that made them successful.

The Warriors have players that have more of a slashing aspect of their game rather than perimeter threats alongside Steph Curry. Kelly Oubre Jr. is one of those players. He would be the centerpiece going back to New Orleans, along with the first-round pick in this year’s draft.

The pick will be from the Minnesota Timberwolves which means there is a chance that it is high up in the order. It’s a top-three protected selection but will convey in 2022 if it doesn’t end up falling outside of the top-three in this year’s draft.

Let’s take a look and see how this NBA trade deadline scenario would benefit both the Golden State Warriors and New Orleans Pelicans.
