Why This Trade Would Benefit The Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are shooting 37.9% from three-point range as a team. They made improvements to the frontcourt with the additions of Montrezl Harrell and Marc Gasol in the offseason. The team could look to get stronger from the perimeter at the NBA trade deadline.

This is an area this Lakers team could always improve upon. LeBron James has always had shooters around him no matter where he has been. Good things happen when he has options along the perimeter, especially with Anthony Davis in the paint.

This season, LeBron James is one of the top shooters for the Lakers along with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Kyle Kuzma. Los Angeles needs more complementary shooters alongside James for floor spacing. This deal would also allow Kuzma to step into a bigger role with Caldwell-Pope going to Indiana.

Jeremy Lamb would step in as a player who can get a quick bucket off the bench. The Lakers could be looking to make a bigger move but if they want to stay small, this one could be on the table.

Los Angeles is ready to win their second straight championship. A move does not have to be made but it could never hurt. Expect the front office to remain aggressive in hopes of building the next great dynasty with LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
