Andre Drummond – Cleveland Cavaliers

After just acquiring Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince in the multi-team deal that sent James Harden to Brooklyn, the Cleveland Cavaliers now have an abundance of players in their frontcourt, making both Andre Drummond a prime trade target for the Wizards.

He is owed close to $28.7M this season in the final year of his contract, which means Washington would have to part ways with guys like Thomas Bryant and Davis Bertans, but Andre Drummond is one of the best all-around big men in the entire league and has proven to be one of the best rebounders in the league, which is an area the Wizards have ranked close to last in all season long.

Over the course of his career, Andre Drummond has averaged 13.8 rebounds/game and since 2015, has led the league in rebounds per game in four different seasons. Drummond is a low-post and more traditional big man who does not have an outside game, but he can still contribute at a high-level and make a difference defensively.

With Bradley Beal, Russell Westbrook and Andre Drummond, the Wizards all-of-a-sudden look like a somewhat dangerous team and have some young talent around their three All-Stars to possibly begin to grow into something in the Eastern Conference.

This trade would definitely revolve around Andre Drummond’s willingness to sign long-term with the Wizards, as they would not trade Bryant or Bertans unless they knew they could keep the 2x All-Star with their superstar backcourt combo long-term.
