Boston Celtics Receive: DeMar DeRozan, Trey Lyles

San Antonio Spurs Receive: Marcus Smart, Carsen Edwards, Robert Williams III, 2021 2nd Round Pick (via OKC)

DeMar DeRozan would be the centerpiece of this deal going to the Boston Celtics. This would solve problems for both sides. The Celtics would also get Trey Lyles to help provide more depth in the frontcourt.

This would not be too expensive for the Celtics because of DeRozan’s age and expiring contract. Marcus Smart would lead the way for the San Antonio Spurs. He is a starting caliber-guard who would join Dejounte Murray in the backcourt — forming an incredible defensive duo.

The Spurs would also land Carsen Edwards and Robert Williams III and would have an opportunity to develop in bigger roles. Boston would provide a 2nd round pick to add to their trade package to entice the Spurs.
