Why This Trade Would Benefit The Philadelphia 76ers
The front office of the Philadelphia 76ers finally realized that they are a team that needs shooters. This is what they have been lacking for a few seasons now and they have not been able to advance in the playoffs. Philadelphia has been linked to names like JJ Redick but Kevin Huerter is another possibility if they feel the need.
The 76ers have a dynamic duo that is not built for the three-point shot. Joel Embiid is a capable shooter but he is a seven-footer who can dominate down low. Ben Simmons is completely inept from beyond the arc and this does not look like it is ever going to change.
The simple additions of Danny Green and Seth Curry have gone a long way to make up for Ben Simmons’ lack of progression from deep. Kevin Huerter would bring the same energy off the bench for the 76ers. They are a contending team that needs to continue to improve in a top-heavy Eastern Conference.
The 76ers are finally championship contenders with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons playing at a high-level. They have been a staple in the postseason but no one really believed they could go all the way. That is not the case this season.
