This Raptors-Wizards blockbuster trade is centered around Bradley Beal, Pascal Siakam

Why This Trade Would Benefit The Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards are currently on the opposite end of the spectrum. They have turned into a bit of a dumpster fire in recent years. It has happened rather quickly. Washington is just two years removed from the postseason and three years removed from a 49-win season. Wall requested a trade in the offseason and it was granted. Beal could be next.

This would point the Wizards in a completely different direction. Beal and Wall have been together for quite some time in Washington. Sometimes it is time to move on and the Wizards are well beyond that point. Beal has a ton of value at this point.

Bradley Beal is on pace to lead the NBA in scoring and average 30 or more points for a second-straight season. Pascal Siakam is a player that could come in and lead Washington right away. He is young enough to contribute for a long time. Washington would get rotation-ready players and first-round draft capital.

This is all worth it for a disgruntled player. If Bradley Beal is truly unhappy, he should be sent away immediately. It is not benefitting either side to keep him in town. The Wizards will have plenty of teams calling and would have to accept the best offer. One that includes Pascal Siakam is worth considering at the very least.
