Explore Options To Add Another Reliable Three-Point Shooter

This year, the Clippers currently find themselves leading the league in three-point shooting percentage at 41.6% and a large part of that is because of the amount of perimeter threats they have on their roster. Los Angeles has 10 guys on their roster shooting 36% or better from three-point range on the season and are a very perimeter-oriented team.

As a result, it would only help the Clippers to continue pursuing perimeter-oriented players on the trade market. They may lead the league in three-point shooting percentage, but they currently rank 15th in the league in three-point shots attempted per game.

Eventually their three-point percentage is going to begin to drop back down to earth and as a result, they need another guy to help keep them as one of the better perimeter teams in the league. Mfiondu Kabengele and Terance Mann are making $2M and $1.5M this season respectively and could be two young players that L.A. could trade away to acquire a veteran perimeter talent.

Guys like Wayne Ellington, Langston Galloway, Ben McLemore, Raul Neto and George Hill are all players that come to mind that could become available before the NBA trade deadline and all would be affordable trade options for the Clippers.

Adding three-point depth is not a huge need for the Clippers at the moment, but you can never have too many knockdown shooters on your roster. This is why if the opportunity comes their way, Los Angeles should definitely look to continue adding shooting depth.
