Why This Trade Would Benefit The Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to many players in the offseason and early parts of the regular season. These have been some big-name players but this trade would help too. The Lakers do not need to make another deal to win a championship but it could never hurt.

LeBron James is having an MVP-caliber season. He is leading the way for Los Angeles with 25.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. Schroder has come to town and is contributing in a big way. This move would give the Lakers a viable option to backup Schroder.

Depth at the point guard position is something that would help in a big way. It is clear that this was a position that the team wanted to improve upon in the offseason. This would just be another move to add some talent.

Derrick Rose is coming off the bench and averaging 14.2 points per game for Detroit. This is good enough for second on the team. He has plenty left in the tank and could benefit from helping a team looking to contend for a championship.

Adding another dynamic scorer and playmaker in Derrick Rose while also bringing in Wayne Ellington’s sharpshooting from deep would be a win for the Lakers. Those skill-sets would mesh with LeBron James and Anthony Davis substantially better than what Kyle Kuzma brings to the table.
