Why This Trade Would Benefit The Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings are a team that is not close to competing. The Western Conference is very deep and the Kings are out of the playoffs raise. It is important for them to keep their stars around while building around them. The front office has some work to do over the next few years.
De’Aaron Fox is that star player. He is a do-it-all point guard who has proved that he is going to be around a long time in the NBA. As for Buddy Hield, it would benefit Sacramento to keep him around if the two sides can get on the same page.
The bad blood between them began last season but it has cooled down enough to keep the team together. Harrison Barnes and Glenn Robinson III are two pieces that would not hurt the Kings to trade away. They would save room in this deal which would help them down the line.
Sacramento has attempted to rebuild through the draft by adding many dynamic prospects. It is time that they look a different route and potentially try to land a big trade or two over the next few seasons.
