Why This Trade Would Benefit The Houston Rockets
The front office of the Houston Rockets wasted no time in retooling their roster. Stephen Silas is a new head coach and will have an entirely new roster to work with. It began in the offseason when Russell Westbrook was sent to the Washington Wizards and continued with James Harden going to the Brooklyn Nets.
The Rockets signed Christian Wood in the offseason and he is looking like the real deal early on. John Wall is back healthy on the court and producing at a high-level so far for the Rockets.
The Rockets are in a position to trade some veteran players who have been around for a long time. This is where players like PJ Tucker and Eric Gordon come in to play and in this case, Ben McLemore. Right now, there is little purpose for these players given the current state of the franchise.
The Rockets have plenty of work to do to rebuild this roster in the position they are in. This is a trade that would jump-start the process. Do not be surprised to see Houston the big sellers at the NBA trade deadline.
