Why This Trade Would Benefit The Los Angeles Lakers
LeBron James is back to looking like an MVP candidate this season while Anthony Davis continues to be one of the best bigs in the league. The Lakers are the favorites to come out of the Western Conference early on. They made improvements in the offseason and could look to make more along the perimeter.
So far this season, the Lakers is shooting well from the three-point line. In the offseason, they traded for Dennis Schroder to improve the point guard position. They also signed Montrezl Harrell away from their crosstown rival in Los Angeles. The front office has made it clear that they are interested in winning now and for years to come.
This is why LeBron James and Anthony Davis signed extensions to remain with the Lakers. Ben McLemore would give the Lakers some more three-point shooting ability on the perimeter.
Everyone knows that the Lakers do not need to make a trade if they want to win their second straight title. This is a move to give them more depth and ability on the perimeter if they feel the need.
