Trade No. 1

Miami Heat Receive: G Bradley Beal

Washington Wizards Receive: G Goran Dragic, C Kelly Olynyk, G Kendrick Nunn, MIA 2022 1st Round Pick, MIA 2024 1st Round Pick, MIA 2026 1st Round Pick, PHI/DEN 2022 2nd Round Pick (less favorable of the two)

Out of every trade package the Miami Heat could offer for Bradley Beal, this is probably one of the best ones the Wizards could receive. We mentioned the impact Goran Dragic could have, but Kelly Olynyk and Kendrick Nunn are also two impactful players.

Olynyk is in the final year of his contract and would free up $12M in cap space for the Wizards next offseason to play around with in free agency, and Kendrick Nunn is a very valuable young player who could turn into a franchise point guard.

Last season, Nunn averaged 15.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and shot 43.9% from the floor. As a result of his great rookie season, he finished second in the Rookie of the Year voting behind Ja Morant and finished above the 2019 1st overall pick, Zion Williamson.

Getting Nunn, three first-round picks and a second-round pick give the Wizards a lot of assets to build for the future, not to mention the $20M in cap space they could free up by no re-signing Olynyk and declining Dragic’s team option for the 2021-22 season. This organization is in shambles right now and the best thing they can do for themselves is acquire as many young assets and draft picks as they can, especially in a trade involving Bradley Beal.

That is exactly what they get from the Heat in this deal and ultimately, it could work out in their favor down the road. With or without Beal, this organization is going to need to rebuild, and trading away their superstar guard only speeds up the process.

For the Heat, although it may cost them quite a bit, acquiring Bradley Beal gives the Miami Heat the second coming of “The Big 3” with Jimmy Butler, Bradley Beal and Bam Adebayo as the future of the Miami Heat.

Jimmy Butler and Bradley Beal are in the primes of their careers, much like LeBron and Wade were during the “Big 3 era,” and Bam Adebayo is still getting better, which is a scary sight for teams around the league.

If they can get Bradley Beal, then the Miami Heat will be championship contenders for the foreseeable future. They should be willing to give up anyone and everyone on their roster besides Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler in order to bring Beal to South Beach.
