10. The Wizards Finish With Losing Record, Miss Playoffs
Oh Washington… just nothing can go right for this organization. After making a blockbuster trade in the offseason to pair Bradley Beal with Russell Westbrook, the Wizards have still struggled.
And to make matters even worse, COVID-19 has affected this team more than any other team in the league! As a result, they have had numerous games cancelled and rescheduled and have been forced to have numerous players sit out multiple games due to the health and safety protocols set in place by the league this season.
With plenty of guys out due to COVID-19 and injuries and with the struggles they have had, it is hard to imagine this team making the playoffs or even having a winning record at this rate!
Sorry Wizards fans, you have suffered a lot over the years, but this season is not going to bring much joy to you. In fact, there may not be much joy in general for this organization, especially if Bradley Beal requests a trade soon.
9. Nets Finish Season As NBA’s Leading Scorer
Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden… that is all you need.
Or is it?
Since Harden’s arrival to Brooklyn, the Nets are 4-2, but at full-strength with KD, Kyrie and Harden all in the lineup, they are 2-1.
Not only are the Brooklyn Nets one of the worst defensive teams in the league right now, but against some of the better teams in the league, they are going to get exposed on the interior unless they add another big man to their roster.
The Nets are rumored to be interested in veteran big man JaVale McGee from the Cavaliers, but given their financial hardships right now and their lack of depth, it will be hard for the Nets to pull off any trade at this rate.
Overall though, Brooklyn has three of the best pure scorers and offensive weapons in the NBA and as a result, they will continue to be right at the top of the list for best offensive team in the entire league.
