Why This Trade Would Benefit The Philadelphia 76ers
Over the years, the Philadelphia 76ers have been near the top of the conference but have not been taken seriously as championship contenders. Their best team featured Jimmy Butler and they could not advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. Coming off a first-round sweep last year, the Sixers look like they have taken their game to the next level.
This is because of Morey pushing the right button in the front office and a new head coach on the sideline. Doc Rivers took the job in Philadelphia which finally gave the team a legitimate head coach. It is all set up well off the floor. On the court, the team is performing well all around with Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Tobias Harris leading the way.
Oladipo is a player who could take it to the next level. When healthy, he is an all-star caliber player. This season is full of championship aspirations for Philadelphia, especially after the hot start. Oladipo can get it done by creating his own shot and creating plays for others. That would help Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, especially.
This would show that the Sixers are not messing around this season. The offseason was extremely successful and that could continue moving towards the deadline. It will be interesting to see if Morey pushes anymore buttons moving forward.
