Bradley Beal
After acquiring Russell Westbrook in the offseason, the Washington Wizards have made their intentions of keeping Bradley Beal long-term very clear, but the question is if he wants to remain in Washington long-term. One key thing Bradley Beal mentioned this offseason was that he wanted to win with the Wizards and so far, they have not done that.
Washington is currently 3-8 and are one of the worst teams in the league. They also have not played a game since January 11th due to health and safety protocols stemming from contact-tracing with COVID-19.
If this team continues to trend downwards and the duo of Westbrook and Bradley Beal does not work out, there is no doubt in my mind that he will request a trade from the Wizards. Beal is now 27-years old and in the prime of his career, but instead of contending for championships, he is contending for the worst record in the entire NBA.
Because the Wizards have been so bad over the years, Bradley Beal was snubbed from the All-Star game after having one of the most productive offensive seasons in NBA history. Last season, Beal did not make the All-Star game, nor was he named All-NBA after averaging 30.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists and shooting 45.5% from the floor, 35.3% from three-point range.
If the Bulls were able to execute a trade to acquire the 2x All-Star, they would not only have to give up a solid amount of draft compensation, but they would have to be willing to trade some younger guys like Coby White, and either Lauri Markkanen or Wendell Carter Jr. While it may seem like this would hurt them in the long-run, forming a backcourt duo of Zach LaVine and Bradley Beal would be insanely lethal.
Both guys are two of the best scoring guards in the entire league and they actually would compliment one-another fairly well. Zach LaVine is only a ball-dominant player on the Bulls because he has nobody else to rely on with the ball in their hands and the same can be said about BRadley Beal in Washington.
Together, these two guys could not only be All-Stars, but lead the Bulls to 40+ wins and back to the playoffs. The Bulls have not been an aggressive team over the years, but they need to change that if they are going to have any shot at being championship contenders again. Bringing Beal in gies the Bulls the best chance to contend in the Eastern Conference for the next decade.
