Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Utah Jazz

You can never have too much talent on your roster in the NBA and regardless of position, acquiring Zach LaVine would do wonders for this Jazz team. With the size they have in their frontcourt with Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors, Utah can afford to go small at times, which is exactly what they would have to do when acquiring LaVine.

Their starting lineup would likely be Mike Conley, Donovan Mitchell, Zach LaVine, Royce O’Neal, and Rudy Gobert with Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingles, and Derrick Favors coming off the bench. Not only is this a fantastic roster with the addition of LaVine, but it is a sneaky team that could contend for a Western Conference Championship.

Bringing in Zach LaVine in the trade outlined above makes a lot of sense for the Jazz because LaVine is an upgrade from Bogdanovic in terms of all-around production and he is also a younger player still. LaVine is only 25-years old and will be turning 26 in March, meaning the Jazz could look to build with him and Mitchell for many years to come.

Not only is he a great offensive talent on the court, but LaVine has made strides in improving defensively as well. Given his length and his athleticism, he could end up being a great two-way player in Utah.

Zach LaVine is off to another fast start this season, but in Chicago, he has no chance to contend for a championship, let alone even make the playoffs! The Chicago Bulls could wind up missing the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season, causing LaVine to waste away the prime of his career. His best chance to contend for a title is in Utah and Utah’s best chance to win a title and dethrone the Lakers is with him.
