Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards
Not only is Bradley Beal one of the best pure scorers in the league today, but he is in an awkward situation in Washington. After not getting him any help for years, the Wizards finally made a big move this past offseason and traded for Russell Westbrook to pair with Beal in the backcourt.
How has that worked out? Well, the Wizards are currently 3-8 and have one of the worst records in the entire league. For a team that had high playoff hopes after trading for Westbrook, the question now is if they will even finish above .500!
The frustration definitely has to be setting in for Bradley Beal, who is currently wasting the prime of his career constantly losing. Because of Washington’s struggles over the years, Beal has not only been snubbed from All-Star appearances but also All-NBA accolades and honors. He averaged 30.5 points, 6.1 assists and shot 45.5% from the floor, and was not even an All-Star last year!
The only way for Bradley Beal to win and find success in his career is to get out of Washington, which is exactly why he could end up in Milwaukee with Giannis Antetokounmpo. Hypothetically, they could even keep Khris Middleton in the process and give up Jrue Holiday and more to land Beal this season near the NBA trade deadline.
Regardless of who the Bucks keep and trade away for Bradley Beal, pairing him up with Giannis Antetokounmpo would be deadly because of their natural scoring abilities. Last season, Giannis scored 30+ points in 37 games and Beal in 31 games, ranking them 2nd and 3rd overall in the league in this category.
Pairing two of the premier offensive threats in the league today with one-another would cause headaches for other teams and due to the Nets pairing KD and Kyrie up with James Harden, this move would remind everyone that the Bucks are the team to beat in the East.
Setting up a potential Eastern Conference Finals matchup of Giannis-Beal-Middleton v.s. Kyrie-Harden-Durant would be a dream come true for NBA fans and make for one of the best Conference Finals in NBA history. Getting Bradley Beal sets the Bucks up for success now and a chance to win a title for years to come.
