Why This Trade Would Benefit The Milwaukee Bucks
This is a situation that the Milwaukee Bucks must approach with extreme caution. Kyrie Irving serves no value if he is not on the floor. Milwaukee has Giannis Antetokounmpo locked up long term and could be looking for the second piece of that dynamic duo. Irving would be the perfect candidate.
There were whispers of Giannis Antetokounmpo being unhappy with the supporting cast around him. The Bucks made a move for Jrue Holiday and signed Giannis to a five-year, supermax extension so there was little truth to those rumors. If Irving plays, the benefit is clear for Milwaukee. He is one of the 10 best players in the league but there are other issues.
Irving did this during his time in Boston and his final years in Cleveland. There is no way he could be unhappy with the Nets. He chose to team up with Durant and head to Brooklyn. This goes beyond basketball and it something that the Bucks would have to look long and hard into.
On the floor, a combination of Kyrie Irving and Giannis Antetokounmpo would be lethal. This would make the Bucks favorites in the Eastern Conference moving forward. If Irving’s name makes its way to the trading block, it would be intriguing to see which teams make calls.
