This Celtics-Kings trade would send Harrison Barnes to Boston

Why The This Trade Would Benefit The Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings are a team that is in rebuilding mode. Veteran players like Harrison Barnes do not fit into the long-term plan which means a trade would be beneficial to the franchise.

Building around De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento should look into adding more depth down low. Marvin Bagley III has been a bit disappointing thus far which means the Kings should be looking toward a deal such as this one.

Being able to land more of a ‘3-and-D’ wing in Aaron Nesmith would fit the Kings better. They need catch-and-shoot impact to spread the floor for Fox and Tyrese Haliburton and Harrison Barnes brings that to the table, but the massive cost for extra layers of impact isn’t needed.

The Kings have been near the bottom of the Western Conference for quite some time now. It might take a deal like this one to turn them around. It will take a bit more but this is a good place to start.
