This Pacers-Raptors trade would bring intriguing change to both teams

Why This Trade Would Benefit The Toronto Raptors

The focus of the Toronto Raptors’ roster is no longer Kyle Lowry when considering Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet are the future. Making a move for younger talents like Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner would help them to shake up their team for the long haul.

There has been hesitation from the Raptors to agree to long-term deals with Lowry and that’s justifiable considering he will be 35-years-old in late March. He has been a staple for the franchise and it’s tough to move on from him unless he were to agree to a much cheaper deal next NBA offseason.

Victor Oladipo would be an intriguing backcourt partner with Fred VanVleet and both players align with each other’s respective timeline as opposed to Lowry. Oladipo is off to a great start to the 2020-21 NBA season and has looked his best since his torn quad-tendon injury.

The Raptors could use the stretch-big skill-set that Myles Turner brings to the table and would amplify their defensive potential with his rim protection abilities. Alongside Pascal Siakam, there would be a lot to like about Toronto’s frontcourt.
