New York Knicks

The New York Knicks have been an organization that has suffered for years now. They have endured 7 straight losing seasons and are on their 8th head coach since last making the playoffs in 2013.

Tom Thibodeau is the newest head coach of the Knicks and while his predecessors have not had a lot of success over the years, Thibs inherits a young team with a lot of potential to grow. R.J. Barrett and rookie first-round pick, Obi Toppin, are the future of this organization and two players with All-Star potential as they develop.

Acquiring Lonzo Ball gives the Knicks three great, young players who all complement each other perfectly in the type of system New York will have. Over the course of his coaching career, Tom Thibodeau has coached some great point guards, highlighted by former league MVP, Derrick Rose.

Lonzo Ball is not the scorer that Rose is, but he is definitely a better overall playmaker and passer. With R.J. Barrett being the “main-man” on the team and then Toppin and Ball being the second and third options, the New York Knicks would have a trio they can build around for years to come and an active young group that potential All-Star free agents would want to play with.

The New York Knicks have not had a lot of good things happen to them over the years, but things are finally changing and being able to acquire Lonzo Ball would be a great addition for this team as they look to change their losing ways.
