Why the Trade Benefits the Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic are in a position to rebuild if they feel the need or make a move to contend. The Magic have been a postseason team in recent years but have been unable to take that next step. In this deal, they are trading away one of their better scorers but could be getting an interesting return.
Romeo Langford is a player to think about. Danny Ainge has said nothing but good things about Langford since he joined the Boston Celtics. He was injured last season and was not fully able to show what he could do. The Magic already have a player to develop in Marklelle Fultz.
If they added Langford, they would have a nice group of young guards who could turn into strong options on the perimeter. This would help Vucevic as well. He is already one of the more underrated bigs in the league.
Orlando is in a position where they are one if the eight best teams in the Eastern Conference but right on the edge. They could be looking to make a deal to move them up the standings in hopes of advancing in the postseason.
