This Clippers-Pelicans trade pairs Eric Bledsoe with Paul George, Kawhi Leonard

The Los Angeles Clippers could choose to make one more move before the NBA regular season begins. They could use some depth at point guard to take some pressure off Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and this deal with the New Orleans Pelicans could help right away.

It was a disappointing finish to the season for the Clippers during the restart. They were eliminated in the second round by the Denver Nuggets. Heading into the 2020-21 season, the Clippers will once again be one of the top teams in the NBA.

Paul George signed a five-year extension with the team but there’s still more that could be done. The Clippers could still use some help in the backcourt and there are options in a trade.

The New Orleans Pelicans have a chance to get younger once again. They clearly went towards a rebuild when they signed Brandon Ingram to an extension. Ingram and Zion Williamson are the future of the Pelicans. New Orleans also sent Jrue Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks and received Eric Bledsoe in return. They could now choose to flip Bledsoe for another return.

If the Los Angeles Clippers are interested in a player like Eric Bledsoe, this is a deal that could get it done to pair him with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
