Why the Trade Benefits the Orlando Magic

Nikola Vucevic has been a force for the Magic during his time in Orlando. If they believe that a deal is worth it, they could pull the trigger on their big man. Orlando is looking to take the next step as a franchise, whatever that may be.

In this deal, Orlando would get Terry Rozier along with Jalen McDaniels and a first-round pick. Rozier would solidify the point guard position until Cole Anthony is ready to take over. Markelle Fultz would be able to come off the bench with Terrance Ross to add some depth.

Meanwhile, Jalen McDaniels is an intriguing prospect that could offer upside if given the right opportunity. Mo Bamba would also be in a better position to contribute to this Magic team as the starting center.

The Magic were knocked out early in the postseason because of their low seed. If they were able to climb to fifth or even sixth in the Eastern Conference, they would give themselves more of a chance come postseason time.
