Why The Trade Benefits The Rockets

It has come to the point where Houston needs to get rid of James Harden. If he does not want to be there, it would benefit the team greatly to trade him as soon as they could.

Now, it is all about who can give them the best deal and the Raptors are high up on that list.

The Rockets would get much-needed draft capital in the form of three first-round picks from Toronto. They would have the freedom to use those picks however they wanted, whether it was on draft night or in another deal.

OG Anunoby and Patrick McCaw are intriguing young talents, but Lowry is the centerpiece in the return. He is a winning player with a lot of experience in the postseason who knows how to lead a team.

The Rockets had plenty of overhaul this offseason, but that does not mean they are not interested in winning. They would be a veteran team very much in win-now mode who could make some noise come postseason time.
