Why The Trade Benefits The Hornets

The Hornets are already going to be one of the more intriguing teams to watch with the addition of LaMelo Ball. They went out and made some big moves this offseason and might not be done just yet. Being able to acquire both Gordon Hayward and Zach LaVine in the same offseason would be a huge win.

If the Hornets were to add LaVine, he would give them a guard who can play the three on the perimeter. Graham turned into a borderline star last season and Ball is expected to step right in and contribute. LaVine would solidify the back-court.

He is an athletic guard who can score from all three levels. LaVine knows how to play with other big names and does not have to be the focal point of an offense, but can be when needed.

Charlotte could compete in the upcoming season if they add another big name player. This would give them an intriguing core moving forward. The trio of LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, and Zach LaVine could lure some free agents in the upcoming years as well.
