Why The Trade Would Benefit The Kings

Sacramento has been one of the bottom teams in the Western Conference for years now. With Bogdanovic in Atlanta, the Kings could look to trade Buddy Hield and completely build around De’Aaron Fox. This means adding a complimentary piece to the back-court.

This is where Romeo Langford comes into play.

During his rookie season, he was hurt and did not contribute much in Boston. However, he did do enough in workouts and in practice to gain the long-term trust of Ainge, who has nothing but good things to say about him.

In Sacramento, Langford could play beside Fox and create a back-court to build around. That is what Sacramento needs to do to attempt to work their way towards the postseason.

Sacramento would also gain a first-round pick in this deal. Sending away an unhappy player benefits the team immediately. This is a chance for the Kings to do just that while adding some assets for the future.
