Why the Trade Benefits the Brooykln Nets
The Brooklyn Nets have a ton of firepower on their roster. It was clear when they brought in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving that they were interested in winning right away. They have plenty of role players that demand the ball and would not complement their stars well.
Players like Caris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie are better with the ball in their hands as opposed to playing off-ball. It would benefit Brooklyn to acquire other role players who can do the little things around Durant and Irving.
LeVert will bring back a nice return in the form of bench players as Brooklyn tries to build their rotation. Having a contributor like Kendrick Nunn would add to their core while Andre Iguodala’s veteran presence and playoff experience would go a long way.
The Nets have big things in mind for the upcoming season. To accomplish those things, they have to be ready for the big teams come the postseason. This means building a team that can compete on both ends of the floor for 48 minutes.
