Why the Trade Benefits the Miami Heat
The Miami Heat was able to get through with the Eastern Conference and past teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics. They were unable to get past LeBron James in the Los Angeles Lakers, which is the ultimate goal. To do so, they will need to continue to strengthen their lineup.
Caris LeVert has shown over the years that he is and a lead option on both ends of the floor. When Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were hurt, LeVert was one of the players in Brooklyn who stepped up and took over as a leader on the floor.
Adding LeVert into the mix would shore up the backcourt for the Heat and work well with younger players such as Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson. It never hurts to another option that can get to the rim, create his own shot, and setup teammates for quality shots.
The Heat is interested in adding superstar caliber player next year in the offseason. It might intrigue one of these big names to come if they are already a foundation in place ready to win.
