Why the Trade Would Benefit the Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics have their franchise player in Jayson Tatum. He is quickly turning into one of the best players in the game and is a true player to build around. This deal would pair Tatum with James Harden in hopes of remaining near the top of the Eastern Conference.
Boston will have to figure out if this deal is worth making. They would have to give up Jaylen Brown but the return would be creating one of the best duos in the NBA. This would open up all players on the offensive end because Harden would require attention from multiple defenders.
Giving up three first-round picks should not be an issue for Boston because they would be later in the round anyway. It’s a necessary cost to add one of the NBA’s perennial MVP candidates in an effort to become a championship-caliber team.
This move would completely shake up the NBA for the upcoming season. It is a chance for the Celtics to continue to fight for a championship and will give Harden a chance to finally make it to the biggest round of the year.
