This Kings-Rockets trade creates a James Harden, De’Aaron Fox duo

Why the Trade Benefit the Houston Rockets

It is never easy making the decision of whether to trade a franchise player or not. With a new front office and head coach, the decision could be a lot easier. The Houston Rockets must look at it as they have not won with Harden so it might be beneficial to trade him.

Just look at the return. Buddy Hield is a nice player but four first-round picks is an insane return for one player. Houston would have a plethora of NBA Draft capital over the next six years.

Hield would join John Wall in the backcourt and give the Rockets another offensive weapon. Both Jabari Parker and Marvin Bagley would be key pieces for a team that would still be able to hang around in the Western Conference.

The Rockets might not be viewed as championship contenders but they would still be able to finish in the top eight to qualify for the NBA playoffs. Anyone who would not do this deal is a bit nuts. Four first-round picks are impossible to turn down.
