The Hypothetical Trade

Warriors Receive: James Harden, PJ Tucker, Danuel House Jr.

Rockets Receive: Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre Jr., James Wiseman, 2021 1st Round Pick (via MIN – Top 3 Protected), 2022 1st Round Pick (via GSW), 2025 1st Round Pick (via GSW), 2027 1st Round Pick (via GSW)

First and foremost, this trade would not be able to be completed until December 26th. Wiseman is not eligible to be traded until 30 days after he signed his rookie deal. However, that would not be a dealbreaker, as the Rockets were not going to rush a trade of Harden regardless.

One thing that has been reported about the Rockets’ mindset has been the fact that they want young players with star potential and draft picks. The Warriors would be giving them both of those things with this trade.

Wiseman and Andrew Wiggins are very talented players. Oubre is no slouch himself. Throw in four first-round picks and this offer looks even more intriguing.

Let’s dive in and take a closer look at this trade for both the Rockets and Warriors and why they should pull the trigger if the deal was on the table.
