Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Wizards

In order to move a first-round pick, the Wizards need to know that they are getting a huge piece back in return. Myles Turner would be the kind of piece that Washington would need to receive to pass this trade.

Moving Bryant, Brown, and Smith to the Pacers would not mean too much if they are getting a talent like Turner back in return.

Last season with the Pacers, Turner did not have much of an offensive role under Nate McMillan. He ended up averaging 12.1 points per game to go along with 6.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. Those numbers would look good for the Wizards.

Turner is capable of stretching the floor and posting up on the offensive end of the floor. He isn’t a great rebounder, but he is capable. If the Wizards want to bring in an elite two-way big, Turner would be the way to go.

John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Turner would make a very intriguing “big three” that could compete in the East. They wouldn’t be championship contenders, but they would be a tough team to beat.
