Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Clippers

On the other side of the deal, the Clippers need to find another player who can score. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard played well together last season, but it was not enough. Los Angeles ended up getting bounced in embarrassing fashion by the Denver Nuggets.

Terry Rozier may not be the player that comes in and wins the Clippers a championship. But, he could be a nice supporting piece that can take some pressure off of George and Leonard.

In order to trade Patrick Beverley, the Clippers need to be getting back a difference maker. There is no question that Rozier is an upgrade on the offensive end of the floor. What makes this deal acceptable is that Rozier also brings a lot of energy to the defensive end of the court.

He isn’t an elite defender, but he isn’t a poor defender either. Moving Noah, Mann, and a second-round pick doesn’t mean much for the Clippers as they look to compete for a championship.

Los Angeles would be improving with this deal. Rozier would be a great fit and would certainly help George and Kawhi Leonard. If this is an option, the Clippers should pursue the trade.
