2. His Three-Point Shooting Percentage Will Rise
With the Celtics last season, Gordon Hayward shot 38.3 percent from the three-point line. He has always been a capable three-point shooter. That will be the case once again this season with the Hornets.
Not only will Hayward be a good three-point shooter, he will be among the NBA’s elite in that category.
We are predicting that Hayward will end up knocking down at least 40 percent of his deep shots. He will have the ball and will have the green light a lot. With no other player being close to as lethal of a scorer as him, he will fill it up.
If there is one positive for the Hornets, it is the fact that Hayward is not a shot-chucker. He will take quality shots and will not force the issue. That will lead to a very consistent and effective season from a shooting perspective.
Hayward isn’t going to win a scoring title, but he will be able to put up big numbers. His shooting percentage from the three-point line will rise and he will be a major positive for the Hornets.
