If a prediction had to be made, it is that Christian Wood will end up re-signing with the Pistons. Detroit is a team that is in rebuild mode and Wood could be one of the players that they feel comfortable with moving forward.

Next season, Wood will start alongside Blake Griffin in the frontcourt. This is where he found a way to be successful in the NBA. Wood fit in well with the scheme in Detroit and that is something to remember.

At 25-years old, Wood is just entering his prime and has plenty of good years left in him. Wood has played for five teams in five years so it could be time to sign a long contract and settle down.

This is a good move for the Pistons to begin their rebuild with younger players. Wood will be a priority for Detroit once free agency begins.
