4. Paul Millsap
Millsap has finished his three-year, $90 million contract with the Denver Nuggets. At 35 years old, the Nuggets might pass on re-signing the veteran forward. This opens up the possibility that the Heat could land him on a team-friendly deal.
Millsap is coming off of a season where he averaged 11.6 points an 5.7 rebounds per contest. His production was down, especially in the bubble, but he improved his three-point shot. He shot 43.5% from beyond the arc this past season.
The Heat are thin in the post, especially if Crowder leaves in free agency. He was used as a big body down low and on the perimeter. Millsap could act as a replacement.
This is an extremely possible deal this offseason, but it is a small move. Millsap could come at a discount price and the team would get a veteran player with plenty of leadership ability.
