This Nuggets-Thunder trade forms new big three with Chris Paul

Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Thunder

On the other side of things, the Thunder should be looking to add more young talent to their roster. They traded both Russell Westbrook and Paul George last offseason. Sam Presti is great in the draft and the Thunder have always been good at developing young talent.

Gary Harris would be a solid back-court addition for the Thunder to play alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. However, Bol Bol could be the biggest and most intriguing addition for Oklahoma City.

During his rookie season with the Nuggets, Bol ended up playing in in seven games. He averaged 5.7 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, but also showed the ability to protect the rim a bit. Standing in at 7-foot-2 and at just 20 years old, Bol could develop into a key player for the Thunder.

Throwing in another first-round selection wouldn’t hurt anything either. The Thunder already have a ton of young talent and the pick would give them a chance to add another young piece for their future.

Moving on from Chris Paul after one year is nearly a given. They aren’t going to compete for a championship next season. This trade would give them more young talent to build around and it would be well worth pulling the trigger.
