3. Andre Drummond
Andre Drummond was sent to the Cleveland Cavaliers prior to the shutdown. Since that has occurred, the situation over there is confusing and one that he could want to get out of.
Something to consider, Drummond picked up his player option of $28 million for the 2020-2021 season but could still get traded. It is unknown if the Cavs will sign Drummond long-term. If they do not, they could make him available via trade. This is an intriguing option for the Bulls to consider.
Especially if Drummond’s next contract comes at a cheaper price. He is still a high-level big man— providing production as the NBA’s best rebounder and is looking to stretch his game beyond the three-point line.
Wendell Carter hasn’t taken the next step in his development since entering the NBA. It’s still early in his career, but it’s no guarantee he makes the necessary progression. This seems like a lateral move for Drummond but it would benefit the Chicago Bulls immediately.
