3 trade packages to send Pistons’ Blake Griffin to the Jazz

Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin is expected to return fully healthy after battling a knee injury last season, and the 32-year-old could help a contender. Could the Utah Jazz potentially be the team to get something done?

Griffin is currently one of the veterans on a rebuilding Pistons’ squad, along with Derrick Rose. The struggles Griffin has experienced with injuries along with two-years, $75.5 million remaining on his contract make for a difficult situation to find a trade suitor.

After suffering an injury in January, Griffin took on a mentorship role from the bench but he can still contribute to a contender if he’s healthy. He put together a truly sensational 2018-19 season and could be a ‘buy-low’ star for a contender to pursue.

Perhaps Griffin would be a fit alongside Rudy Gobert in Utah’s front court. The Jazz showed great potential in the playoffs, but they weren’t able to advance past Denver. Griffin could be one of the missing pieces for the Jazz if he’s able to stay on the floor next season.

Let’s take a look at three trades that would send Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin to the Utah Jazz and analyze each.
