3 trade packages to send Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard to Suns

The Phoenix Suns put together an impressive run in the NBA bubble— led by Devin Booker. Now is the time to take the next step. Could pulling off a trade for Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard get them to that level?

The thought of a backcourt consisting of both Devin Booker and Damian Lillard is fascinating, to say the least. The Suns would quickly become one of the most formidable teams in the Western Conference with enough offensive firepower to compete with any opponent.

Pulling off a trade for any superstar would not come cheap. The Suns have accumulated intriguing prospects from recent NBA Draft classes and still possess all of their future 1st round selections. That provides a pathway to appeal to the Trail Blazers in a potential deal.

There isn’t reason for the Trail Blazers to move on from Lillard. As a result, it would take a truly robust trade package to get a deal done. He’s as loyal to Portland as any one player could be to a city. Also, the four-year, $196 million contract extension he recently signed is set to begin during the upcoming season.

Let’s take a look at three trade packages that would send Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard to the Phoenix Suns.
