This 76ers-Mavs trade gives Dallas an intriguing third star

Why It Works For The Dallas Mavericks

This answer seems kind of simple. If the Dallas Mavericks are in search of another star to join Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis, they will have to give something up.

It might not seem like a good idea to trade your draft away this year, but with picks 18 and 31, there is nothing you will get that will be worth it. The only issue is the salary of Tobias Harris. He is making a ton of money and has not earned it yet.

This could happen with a change of scenery. With the Mavericks, Harris would have two other playmakers on the floor and there would not be as much pressure. Doncic is one of the best passers in the league. There is no doubt he would get Harris the ball in position to score.

If the Mavericks are serious about contending, they will have to make a big move this offseason. This is a good deal because they are not being forced to give up any future draft picks.
